Lego Technic 42099 Turbo Pickup MOC

Rebuild your Lego Technic "4x4 X-treme Off-Roader" set 42099 into this "Turbo Pickup" alternative model using these digital building instructions. No additional parts needed!

Functions:

- Remote-controlled drive and steering

- Independent suspension on all wheels

Worth mentioning aspects:

- It's RWD with a gear ratio of 1.4:1

- Decent ground clearance for off-roading, 4 studs at the front axle and 6 studs in the rear axle

- The planetary wheel hubs are not used on the rear wheels

- The button to turn on the hub is accessible from the driver's cabin

- Needs a custom profile from the Powered Up app to be controlled. Detailed steps are provided within the MOC building instructions for this as well.

- One highlight of this MOC is probably the transmission: it has the two PU xl-motors directly driving the rear differential, one on each side, which turned out to be quite efficient.
